Affiliate postbacks: count a commission against the ad that sent the click
An affiliate network can tell Admaxxer that a click earned a commission. That commission shows as revenue on the ad that sent the visitor. The amount is what the network paid you, not the sale value.

What it does
You paste one address into your network. When the network calls it, Admaxxer saves the commission and, when the click is one we have seen on your site, ties it to that visitor's ad. Open Site settings and find Affiliate postbacks.
Three steps
- Copy the postback address from Site settings. It already contains a long key.
- Put your visitor id on offer links. Either paste
{admx_click}into the link, or add the auto-tag attributes from the same screen so the id is added only on the domains you name. - Paste the address into the network and let it fill its own macros.
An example with ExampleNet
ExampleNet is a made-up network, so these macro names are examples, not a real network's. In ExampleNet you would set the offer link to https://network.example/offer?subid={admx_click} and the postback to your address with {clickid}, {txid}, {payout}, and {status} filled by ExampleNet.

How each status is treated
- Approved words, and a blank status, are counted. A network that sends one call and leaves status off is counted.
- Pending words are saved in the recent list and not counted. A later approved call for the same transaction counts it.
- Reversal words write the commission back out. A second reversal for the same transaction changes nothing.
- Any other word, including a number, is refused. We do not guess what a number means.
Repeats and reversals
The same transaction id on the same site is saved once. A repeat answers that it was already saved. A reversal needs a commission we already saved. If there is nothing to reverse, we say so and store nothing.
When the click does not match
A missing, placeholder, or unrecognizable click id is still saved. The money is real. It is marked as not matched, and it is not credited to an ad. Another site's click id under your key does not match, so it stays on your site as unmatched.
Testing
Use Send a test postback on the settings card, or add test=1 to the address. The checks run and a line appears in the recent list. No commission is saved.
The recent list
The card shows the latest arrivals: when they came in, what happened, the transaction id, the payout, whether a click matched, and a short reason. After a test, the list refreshes.
Rotating the address
Rotate replaces the key immediately. The old address stops working. Paste the new one into the network before the next commission.
Limits
- A link cloaker on your own site does not carry the id unless that tool passes the value on. Custom pages can read
admaxxer.getVisitorId(). - On the cookieless script, a click id is shared by similar browsers in a tab, so matching is less exact.
- A commission that arrives after your attribution window stays in revenue and is not credited to an ad, the same as any late payment.
- Nothing from a postback is sent on to ad platforms.
